Veterans For Education is a new club started by three dedicated students at Rutgers Camden.

Veteran For Education has Two Objectives:

1) To Provide a Positive Portrayal of Veterans
2) To Promote the Value of Education

As veterans and dedicated college students we can relate to the challenges many men and women transiting from the military to academic lifestyles are facing today. We hope to help fellow and future veterans in their academic aspirations.

Veterans For Education Congressional Debate

Time:  September 10th 2008 at 7p.m.

Place:  Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, NJ.

             520 Jacksonville Road

             Mount Holly, NJ 08060

Veterans for Education will be hosting a Congressional Debate between Senator John Adler and Mayor Chris Myers.  These candidates are campaigning for a position in Congress representing the third district of New Jersey. The third district of New Jersey has one of the highest concentrations of veterans out of any district in America. Both of these candidates are running on a strong veterans platform.  With the recent deployment of over 3,600 New Jersey National Guard members and the ongoing wars

in Iraq and Afghanistan the number of veterans returning to our district grows with each passing day.  Veterans for Education wants to bring attention to the issues surrounding these recently returning veterans.  This will be a fair and balanced debate staying true to the issues that are affecting Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.(left: publicly asking Mayor Myers at his town hall meeting in Moorestown, NJ.)

This debate will help the voters see where each candidate stands on veterans issues.  It will allow them to observe the candidates in an unscripted debate without the assistance of scripted sound bytes, press releases and media influence. Dr. Anthony Mazzarelli from Big Talker 1210 will be acting as the co-moderator for the debate. (Right: Publicly asking Senator John Adler to participate at his town hall meeting at VFW Post 3020 in Delran, NJ)

By hosting the debate Veterans For Education will be setting the example for newly returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.  We want more veterans involved in Business, Politics, and Law.  Getting together, pointing out injustices and making social change a reality. (Left: Veterans for Education members live on air at the Big Talker 1210 studio with Dr. Mazzarelli)

We would like to see every available person attend this event.  These are important issues which veterans and families are dealing with on an everyday basis.
