Veterans 4 Education Stand Up for Marine Recruiting Station and Vietnam Memorial

JODY SOMERS/STAFF
William Dennis Brown Jr., of Mount Laurel, is a retired Navy Seal that served in Iraq. He wanted to speak at the anti-war protest at the Vietnam War Memorial at Rutgers University Thursday, March 27, 2008 in New Brunswick but was not allowed to do so. Brown wanted to tell the protesters that marching on a recruiting station doesn't help morale of the armed forces and that marching on Trenton or Washington, DC, would be a better way to sway opinion. He is explaining his point to two Rutgers policemen that were directed to him by organizers of the anti-war rally. JODY SOMERS/STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER/HOME NEWS TRIBUNE 1037 Metro
