During the Fall Semester of 2007, Veterans For Education along with the CJO Club, the Rutgers Alumni and all
the students at Rutgers Camden gathered packages to be sent off to the troops in Iraq during this Holiday season.

Veterans, students join to aid troops

Tuesday, December 11, 2007

Former Navy Seal William Brown is a Rutgers-Camden student who is working with on-campus organizations to deliver hundreds of holiday boxes to troops in Iraq.

Riverside VFW will ship the boxes for free.

Brown, a graduate of Burlington County College, is working with Veterans for Education, an organization that aims to promote vets in a positive light and promote the value of education.

The club also is encouraging college students to write letters to help inspire veterans to apply for and use their education benefits.
